About the day

Northeast De-Icing Day

October 1, 2026 · 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM · Uxbridge, MA

It’s that time of year again for our annual Northeast De-Icing Day. This year’s event is being held October 1, 2026 from 9am - 4:30pm.

Last year’s event brought together more than 100 attendees from across the snow and ice industry. This year alongside the educational sessions, equipment demonstrations, and networking we’re expanding the event to include a dedicated vendor area.

Get ready for an exciting in-person day where we dive into the best techniques and tips for de-icing in the Northeast. Whether you’re a municipality or a commercial professional, this is your chance to learn from industry leaders such as VSI by BOSS, Arctic Snow and Ice Products, Storm Equipment, and the SnowJobs Podcast.

Registration is now open! Space is limited, and we need to provide the caterer with an accurate lunch count. We encourage you to register early as we sold out last year. Don’t wait you won’t want to miss out!

We look forward to seeing you!

Questions

Frequently asked

How much does it cost to attend?

General attendance is free, but pre-registration is required and space is limited. Lunch is included. Exhibitor booths and sponsor packages are paid - see the options above.

Do I really need to register in advance?

Yes. We plan lunch, parking, and capacity around registrations. Walk-ins can’t be guaranteed entry or a meal. Registering only takes about a minute through Eventleaf and the last day to register is September 28, 2026.

I’ve never used liquids. Is this for me?

Absolutely. Jordan Smith’s liquid de-icing session is a great place to start. Come with questions; you’ll leave knowing whether liquids fit your operation.

Can I bring my whole crew?

We do limit each company to 4 attendees. This allows more companies to attend. You can check back with us 3 days before the event to see if we still have availability. Reach out to us at info@nedeicing.com and we will see what we can do to accommodate you.

Where does registration happen?

This page is the landing page. Choose Attendee, Exhibitor, or Sponsor above and you’ll be taken to Eventleaf to complete registration - no need to build a separate page inside Eventleaf.

Northeast De-Icing Day

Friday May 3rd, 2024

Uxbridge, MA

Northeast De-Icing Solutions hosted their first ever “De-Icing Day” at our location in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. We had 40 attendees from 10 different states gather together for this event. The day started with an “Intro to Liquids” presentation given by Jordan Smith of VSI by BOSS. Jordan has been successfully using liquids exclusively in his snow and ice operations for over 10 years. Guests were able to learn from his expansive knowledge on the subject and get all of their individual questions answered. After that the guests were able to check out the full line of VSI by BOSS equipment that was on display while we transitioned into our next segment, a “First Year Liquid Users” panel discussion where 4 contractors who just completed their first winter using liquids talked about their experiences of implementing liquids into their snow and ice operations. They shared their highs and lows, while providing insight to unexpected hurdles they encountered and wish they had known before starting out. This was moderated by our friends from The SnowJobs Podcast, a snow management podcast that currently has over 25,000 listens per month. This was followed by lunch and networking opportunity’s while we set up for brine making and sprayer demonstrations. Attendees were broken into groups and rotated through live brine making demonstrations where they were able to get hands on with a Legacy Series brine maker and watch multiple batches of brine being made, pumped out to storage tanks and have their questions answered. The next station was also a hands on opportunity with a Legacy Series Sprayer. An in-depth overview on the features, functions and operations of the unit was given and then contractors got to take control and try the sprayer for themselves. The next station was the full line of VSI by BOSS liquid de-icing equipment on display where attendees could get their hands on the equipment and again have their questions answered. The event ended around 4:00 pm. We were happy to have several contractors stick around for more detailed information on how to implement a liquids program to their specific company needs.

Overall, the event was a great success and helped to debunk the mindset of “Liquids just don’t work in the Northeast”. We at Northeast De-Icing Solutions want to thank everyone who took the time to help make this event a success.

Ocean State Construction and Equipment Show, Booth #L29

Wednesday May 29th

Crowne Plaza Warwick. 801 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick, RI

We were thrilled to attend the Ocean State Construction and Equipment Show, where we had the opportunity to showcase a variety of VSI by BOSS liquid de-icing equipment. It was a fantastic day connecting with familiar faces and building new relationships with industry professionals. We’re passionate about all things snow, and this event gave us the perfect chance to share that enthusiasm. We’re already looking forward to attending again in 2025!
